Seems A Little Sketchy #47

Welcome to this weeks Seems A Little Sketchy!! I do hope your last couple of weeks have been going well. I know mine has been. Cheryl and I hosted a booth at a local craft show for the first time. Didn't sell much, but at least we know what to expect and how things work now and going forward, we'll be better prepared.

For this weeks Sketch, I had fun designing my card to go with it. Although, I think it turned out rather simple... :-/

I cannot wait to see your designs!!

Seems A Little Sketch 46 (& Shore Leave 2013)

Greetings everyone!

This weeks sketch was inspiring!! I love the drawings we had available. I chose to do a Christmas one because Cheryl and I have a craft fair coming up in a couple weeks and I need some stock.

All of these sketches and design teams make for great creativity outlets!

This weeks drawing is Sponsored by Squigglefly

Prize: 3 digi images

My card design:

Good luck to you and I cannot wait to see what you create!

Shore Leave 2013!!!!!

So, about my trip to Baltimore MD. We had a blast! I got to meet a few celebrities, Amanda Tapping, Eddie McClintock and a couple others. It's odd, but whenever I take photos, they come out clear. When anyone else does it, it's a bit blurry. lol

Amanda Tapping

Eddie McClintock

Neil Grayston

Hubby came in on Friday evening. He didn't stay for the "after party" of our awards ceremony. But, I sure did!! :) Sadly I was a bit under the weather on Saturday, so we didn't get to do much. (A bit too much alcohol on Friday evening....No pics to be posted so I cannot be blackmailed!) All in all, we had a very fun time together.

As always

Enjoy!!

Perfect Sentiments Challenge 87: The Great Outdoors

Oops!! In my haste to get started with Perfect Sentiments, I completely forgot to create a post for my first challenge! Dur!

I am one of the newest joining the PS design team. I've been looking forward to this for a long time now and am super happy to have finally been accepted. I hope I can live up to everyone's high standards :)

This weeks challenge is all about The Great Outdoors! With summer and vacation season coming to an end, we challenge you to create a card with an outdoorsy theme. You can use either an outdoor image or sentiment, but don't forget to include your sentiment on the front!

This weeks challenge is sponsored by Beccy's Place and one lucky winner will be awarded 3 free digis of their choice! I had a chance to browse the selection and saw some adorable and inspiring stuff.

Our Sponsor
will award one lucky random winner 3 free digis!

I didn't use any special techniques. I just "matted" several images that I cut from the "Secret Garden" (Graphic 45) set that I have.

The Butterfly is 3 cut images from a Memory Box die.

I hope you will join us again next week for more creative fun!! Best of luck in the drawings!!

SALS Sketch 45

Happy Monday Ladies and Gentlemen!!!

I do hope that you weekend was wonderful!!! I am just returning from Baltimore, MD and am probably sleeping it off... :)

I'll give more details in a later post on what we did. I'll even post some of the photos from the bay!

This weeks sketch was super fun. Hubby's birthday is September 5th, so this fits him perfectly. Hopefully he doesn't watch this blog to closely or the gig will be up. lol

This weeks sketch was fun to work with. Had a little bit of difficulty with cutting out the image, but I finally managed it.

There are no special techniques used, just plain card stock and some generic designed paper I picked up somewhere.

The flowers I found on clearance at Michael's a couple weeks ago. I tipped them with a little bit of silver paint and edged the card with the same.

So, here is your lovely sketch to work with this week! Don't forget to thank Tess for her wonderful and fun designs!!

This weeks sketch is sponsored by Delicious Doodles!!! I really love their designs, truly. You have the chance to win FOUR free images!! Best of luck!!!

Birthday number TWO

As I said, there are two birthdays this week. My little sister's is tomorrow.

Here is her card.

She likes all my cards, so I have no doubt that she'll like it. :))

And we have yet another birthday... a couple of them.

My sister in law has a birthday this week, as does a good friend. So, have to make more birthday cards. This is the first one that will be going to Don, who will be in Baltimore with us this weekend.

Had to make something a little more adult and masculine :)

Happy Birthday Don!

Love always!
