Blessed Christmas

This week's Shining Light Challenge over at the Our Daily Bread designs blog is Holiday with a twist!  The twist being that we are required to use an ODBD Holiday stamp in our project.  This project came with perfect timing as I just received a couple of new ODBD Christmas stamp sets last week.


Supplies
Cardstock:  Bazzill - White, Leaf, Nautical Dark Blue
Decorative Paper:  Graphic 45 - Christmas Emporium 
Stamp:  Our Daily Bread Designs - Blessed Christmas
Ink:  Versacolor - Atlantic
Accessories:  Hero Hues Pearl; Perfect Pearls - Blue Patina; Stampin Up Embossing Powder - Clear Star; Spellbinders - Lacy Squares, Shapeabilities Pendants; McGill Paper Flower punches - Lily, Designer Pine

    Thanks for visiting! I made the flower using Graphic 45's Christmas Emporium paper - the back side of "believe". I cut the petals out of this page using McGill Paper Flower punch 64511 Star Lily. The flower is made up of 8 of the largest petals and 6 of the 2nd largest petals. Once cut, I sprayed the petals with Perfect Pearls Blue Patina (which I mixed with water in a mini mister). When those were dry I used the McGill tools to shape the flower and glued the petals to a base. The flower turned out pretty cool - it looks kind of like leather close up.
