This week's Shining Light Challenge over at the Our Daily Bread designs blog is Holiday with a twist!  The twist being that we are required to use an ODBD Holiday stamp in our project.  This project came with perfect timing as I just received a couple of new ODBD Christmas stamp sets last week.

Cardstock:  Bazzill - White, Leaf, Nautical Dark Blue
Decorative Paper:  Graphic 45 - Christmas Emporium
Stamp:  Our Daily Bread Designs - Blessed Christmas
Ink:  Versacolor - Atlantic
Accessories:  Hero Hues Pearl; Perfect Pearls - Blue Patina; Stampin Up Embossing Powder - Clear Star; Spellbinders - Lacy Squares, Shapeabilities Pendants; McGill Paper Flower punches - Lily, Designer Pine

  1. beautiful!! how did you do your flower?

  2. Hi Sherry,

Thanks for visiting! I made the flower using Graphic 45's Christmas Emporium paper - the back side of "believe". I cut the petals out of this page using McGill Paper Flower punch 64511 Star Lily. The flower is made up of 8 of the largest petals and 6 of the 2nd largest petals. Once cut, I sprayed the petals with Perfect Pearls Blue Patina (which I mixed with water in a mini mister). When those were dry I used the McGill tools to shape the flower and glued the petals to a base. The flower turned out pretty cool - it looks kind of like leather close up.

  3. Oh how elegant and beautiful!! I just love your use of dies, the white, and the pop of blue. Very creative flower!! Thanks for joining the ODBD Shining the Light challenge this week.

  4. Very pretty color choices and I really like your layering!

  5. So pretty! Love this set and your design is yummy! Congrats on being selected as the ODBD customer of the day! blessings!
