Perfect Sentiments Challenge #36 ~ Father's Day Color Story

With Father's Day coming up this weekend, our challenge at The Perfect Sentiment is right on time!  Time to get out your papers and stamps and get inky for dear old Dad!

This week we are pleased to have our challenge sponsored by Shelly's Images!

She is graciously offering one free digi to our lucky winner this week!

Ok, on to the challenge :)

The Challenge:  create a card with a sentiment for Father's Day
The Twist:  use the color story below as inspiration for the design of your card

My Dad is  fisherman, so I couldn't resist making a fishing-themed card for him this year...

I used a scrap of tulle to create a fishing net.  I first colored it with alcohol ink and then hit it with my heat tool to melt it and create the stiffer look & some holes.  Finishing touches included adding some bits of a bright feather and some tiny wire hooks.
