Perfect Sentiments Challenge #88 - Christmas without Red or Green

I  know it's August and the Dog Days of summer are here - what better time to think of cooler temps that come with winter?!  This week's challenge from The Perfect Sentiments is bound to cool you off!

The Challenge:  Create a Christmas Card without using any Red or Green in your design!  Don't forget to put a sentiment on the front of your card!

Our challenge this week is sponsored by The Perfect Sentiment!  Our lucky winner will receive his or her choice of 3 Christmas digis from the shop!

For my card this week I wanted to have a bit of an outdoorsy flair, so I elected to use some of the awesome sticky back wood veneers my brother gave me (he's a polymers chemist who specializes in wood coatings, so he's always got cool stuff!).  I cut both the tree and the background shape from 2 different veneers and added a background cut from a piece of vintage-looking Christmas wrap.  - Lauri should recognize it as it was from the gift she gave me last year! (told you I'd find a use for it!)

Need more inspiration?  Check out the blogs of my fellow DT members (links on my sidebar), then create your own and play along!

Blessings,

  1. Gorgeous! I love the tree shape. What did you use to cut that out. The background dp is just perfect!
