Happy Birthday Lauri!!!

That's right bloggers, Lauri celebrated a milestone birthday this week (I'll let you guess which one).  I can finally post the card & gifts I made for her since she has now received them!

And finally (this one's my fave) I created this on another 8x8 wood canvas

This one was soo fun to make!  I started with an 8x8 wood canvas from my local Archivers, sanded it a bit, primed it with gesso and then added a layer of Liquitex Blended Fibers Texture Gel.  The paper that the sentiment is on is from one of my digital kits from MyMemories and the flowers are a mix of Prima and Wild Orchid.  I got the little hanging note cylinder from the jewelry section at my LCS and guilded some rose leaves with copper acrylic paint.

The background was painted with a bunch of stuff until I got it to look the way I wanted - Ranger Distress Paint - Broken China, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo & Peeled Paint.  I also used Adirondack Paint Dabber in Denim and some black acrylic paint.
