Warm Wishes

Hey bloggers :)  Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I'm back today with another card for my Christmas collection.  I just love Krista's work over at Saturated Canary.  If you haven't seen it - head over to her shop and check it out - her digi stamps are just so adorable!

Those of you who know me know I'm a technique junkie and I love, love, love learning new things!  I've challenged myself to make at least 10 cards this year that aren't "traditional" colors.  I'm a huge fan of red and gold so it's quite a struggle for me.  For this card I wanted to learn to color hair with an unusual color - green!  I think she turned out ok for my first shot - next time I think I'll use more shades to be able to get the highlights & shadows I was hoping for here.

The stamp for this one is Christmas Angel from Saturated Canary.  I used my Prismacolor pencils to color her and a couple of Spellbinders.  The top paper was created by stamping the pine bough from Stampers Anonymous Letters to Santa with Ranger's Distress Ink in Evergreen Bough & Iced Spruce.  The ribbons & lace are scraps from my stash as is the greeting.

I'm entering this card in the following challenge
Saturated Canary - 31 Sketch

Have a great weekend!
