Our Daily Bread Designs Bible Verse Thursday #35 - Be Vigilant

"God is my Salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord is my Strength and my Song;
He has become my salvation."
~Isaiah 12:2

Trust Me and don't be afraid, for I am your Strength and Song.  Do not let fear dissipate your energy.  Invest your energy in trusting God and singing His Song.

The people for whom Isaiah composed this book were living in a world that was unpredictable and out of their control.  They were subject to foreign invaders, political instability, and crises of all kinds.  Sound familiar?

The battle for control of our minds is fierce, and years of worry make us vulnerable to the enemy.  Therefore, we should be vigilant in guarding our thoughts.  It is hard, knowing how weak we are, not to get drawn down into the guilt of our weakness.  But the Lord uses even our weakness to draw us closer to Him.  Our constant need for Him will create an intimacy that is well worth our efforts.  We are to lean on His Spirit living within us to help us in our efforts.  If we but ask Him to control our minds, He will bless us with Life and Peace.

Your challenge this week is to create a project using this scripture or another verse that instructs us to be vigilant.  When uploading your creation, please use ODBDBVT35 and then join us over at Our Daily Bread Designs Forum to share!
