Box Card Tutorial

Hey all,  today I have a tutorial to share with you on how to make this cute box card!

Supplies You Will Need:
8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of double sided cardstock or patterned paper.
Martha Stewart Score Board
Scissors
Adhesive
Cardstock, Decorative Paper, Stamps & Embellishments to decorate the card

Step 1
Place the patterned paper on the Score Board with the 8 1/2" side on top.  Score at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8".

Step 2
Turn the paper so that the 11" side is on top and score at 1 1/4" and 3 3/8".

Repeat on the opposite side of the page so that you have 4 score marks on on the 11" side.

Step 3
Pre-fold along all of the score lines.

Step 4
With the side you want on the outside of the box  fold the end two score lines on the 8 1/2" side up.

Step 5
Flip the paper over and fold the
second score lines down.

Step 6
Fold each end's short side to the middle.

 Step 7
Fold the upper corner of the just folded side
diagonally - being careful not to tear the paper.
Repeat on all 4 sides.

Step 8
Unfold everything

Step 9
Clip the corner rectangles diagonally.

Step 10
Adhere a decorative strip to the long un-scored sides of the box.

Step 11
Take one of the corners next to the decorated edge and fold it behind the decorated side.

Repeat on the other corner of that side.

Step 12
Fold the decorated side down

Repeat steps 11 & 12 on the other side.

Step 13
Fold the sides down carefully.

Step 14
Create a belly band by wrapping a strip of paper that is at least 10" long around the middle of the card.  Be sure not to wrap it too tightly, you want to be able to get it off!
Step 15
Adhere embellishments to the belly band and create a matching panel for the inside of the card.

Finished card is approximately 4 1/4" square
